Contest is part of the 5th Prima Domra Modern Domra Festival. In 2024 it is dedicated to the birth anniversaries of three distinguished figures in the field of arts who lived and worked in Tambov — composer Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943), poet and statesman Gavriil Derzhavin (1743-1816), and painter Vasily Polenov (1844-1927).
ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open for candidates of all ages and nationalities.
CONTEST GUIDELINES
The Contest is held in two rounds. The first (selection) round takes place 1 May 2024 – 15 August 2024. The jury members evaluate contestants’ musical scores and choose which compositions will
be performed. The second round takes place in Tambov 1 – 20 September 2024 as a public concert where the finalists’ compositions will be played.
PRIZES AND AWARDS
The winners are awarded with the 1st, 2nd, 3d place certificates, Laureate certificates, special awards, and prizes.PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
